چکیده
Physicochemical Parameters of large Earthen Ponds and Concrete water storage reservoirs (CWSRs) Bakolori Irrigation Project (BIP) were investigated from March 2019 to February 2020. Four sampling stations randomly selected the two body types. Air Water Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Depth, Total Solids (TDS), Transparency & Salinity determined in situ, while samples collected monthly eight taken laboratory for analysis Alkalinity, Hardness, Nitrate-N Phosphate-P. The data arranged on bases seasons (dry wet) five sub-seasons, namely: Early dry (Oct - Dec); mid (Jan Feb); late (March May); rainy (June July) flood period (Aug Sept), subjected T test using Minitab statistical package. Results compared with quality standards Human consumption, aquatic life fish production aquaculture. showed that exception high Turbidity (low transparency) due mud debris reservoir some sub seasons, bodies suitable Aquatic Aquaculture. But partly unsafe human consumption. study recommends continuous assessment physicochemical parameters. It further use several mudfish (such as Clarias Hetrobranchus species) instead leaving them redundant observed during period.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Assessment of the presence of metals and quality of water used for irrigation in Kwara State, Nigeria
In Nigeria irrigated agriculture is an important tool for economic growth, food security, and poverty reduction during dry periods of rain-fed agriculture. The concentration and composition of dissolved constituents in water determines its quality for irrigation use. Water quality studies strongly suggest that agriculture is a leading source of water quality problems, due to pesticides and othe...

متن کاملWater quality management in earthen ponds using an optimum carbon/ nitrogen ratio
The main goal of the current study was to evaluate the effects of C/N ratio on water quality parameters and production level at high stocking density pond. The C/N ratio of the experimental ponds were arranged by addition of corn starch to the pond. There were three treatments in the current study; control one without corn starch addition and treatments two and three which contain C/N rations o...
متن کاملAnalysis of Chemical and Microbial Contents of Public Swimming Pools’ Water in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria
This study assessed the chemical and microbial contents in the water of public swimming pools in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. A total of 16 public pools were selected through probability sampling from the 32 pools that existed in the five urban areas of Akwa Ibom State. Water samples were collected from the sampled pools and tested in the laboratory for chemical and microbial contents. Results sho...
